The City Business License office is located at 200 Old Bernal Avenue in the Civic Center campus near the Library and Police Station. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm. The general number is (925) 931-5440.

In accordance with the City license and taxation ordinance, any person conducting business within the City of Pleasanton is required to have a business license on file. This ordinance also applies to those businesses advertising a Pleasanton address as their physical location and/or using a Pleasanton address for business mailing purposes.

To obtain a business license from resources available on this page, please follow these instructions:

1. Read the information below.
2. Get the right form below, and fill it out online! You'll need Acrobat Reader - available free from Adobe Systems - to view the forms.
3. Print the form on your printer. Remember to proofread carefully!
4. Sign your form, and return it with your check for the appropriate fee (The Fee Schedule is included on the form).

Business Listings are available for purchase through the City of Pleasanton for a nominal fee.
