The City Business License office is located at 200 Old Bernal Avenue in the Civic Center campus near the Library and Police Station. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm. The general number is (925) 931-5440.

In accordance with the City license and taxation ordinance, any person conducting business within the City of Pleasanton is required to have a business license on file. This ordinance also applies to those businesses advertising a Pleasanton address as their physical location and/or using a Pleasanton address for business mailing purposes.

A business license may be obtained by visiting the business license office or following the instructions below. Regulations and pertinent information, such as other department requirements and approvals, can also be viewed.
