The Energy and Sustainability Division is located at 3333 Busch Road in Pleasanton and can be reached at (925) 931-5506. Business hours are Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., excluding holidays.
The Energy and Sustainability Division develops and implements strategies to assist Pleasanton residents, employees, and business owners improve energy efficiency and conserve natural resources.
Energy Efficiency and Conservation – The Energy and Sustainability Division is responsible for developing and implementing a community-based Climate Action Plan (CAP).
Financial Management – Research, obtain, and manage grants and other funding sources related to E&S work to ensure optimal benefits are achieved.
Green Policies and Procedures – Develop and implement municipal policies and standards relative to energy efficiency, resource conservation, and environmentally preferable purchasing.
Outreach Activities – The E&S division organizes community events (sustainability lectures, public workshops, community fairs and events) to provide information on energy efficiency and conservation programs and available rebates.
Partnerships – Connect schools, local businesses, governmental agencies, industry associations, employee groups, and community members to benchmark and share information and to identify opportunities for leveraging resources.
