The Community Monitor Committee retains and oversees the work performed by a Community Monitor as required in a settlement agreement between the County of Alameda, City of Pleasanton, City of Livermore, Sierra Club, Northern California Recycling Association, Altamont Landowners Against Rural Mismanagement, and Waste Management of Alameda County, Inc. (the operator of the Altamont Landfill Resource and Recovery Facility). The Community Monitor reviews reports that are submitted to regulatory agencies by the Altamont Landfill Resource and Recovery Facility, conducts inspections, truck counts, and submits written reports to the Community Monitor Committee.
Four Committee Members are appointed by the City of Pleasanton, City of Livermore, Sierra Club, and the Northern California Recycling Association.
The Community Monitor Committee meets on an irregular basis, approximately every two months, at the City of Livermore Maintenance Services Division at 3500 Robertson Park Road. For meeting information, inquire at dkdangelo@ci.livermore.ca.us

Please note that the agenda from the July 14, 2010 Community Monitor Committee meeting listed an incorrect date for the September meeting. The next meeting of the Community Monitor Committee will be on September 8, 2010 at the Maintenance Service Center in Livermore.
