1. Approve regular and special meeting minutes of August 17, 2010

2. Accept Commissioner Absences Report for the period January 1 through June 30, 2010
3. Ratify amendments to the professional services agreements with Mackay and Somps, ELS Architecture and Urban Design, and O’Connor Construction Management, Inc.; ratify Change Order No. 18 to the Firehouse Arts Center construction contract (CIP No. 038011) with W.A. Thomas Company, Inc. in the amount of $1,540,909; approve plans, specifications and project budget for the Transportation Corridor Parking Lot and Firehouse Arts Center Parking Lot, Plaza and Garden Areas project (CIP No. 098035)

4. Accept of appeal actions of the Zoning Administrator and Planning Commission
5. Second reading of Ordinance No. 2005 approving the application of Pleasanton Gateway L.L.C. (Scott Trobbe) for a seven-year extension of the Development Agreement (PDAM-03) between the City and Pleasanton Gateway regarding its eight-building office development totaling 745,000 square feet on an approximately 39.22-acre site at 6750 Bernal Avenue
6. Second reading of Ordinance No. 2006 rescinding Ordinance No. 1989 (that pre-zoned and rezoned the Staples Ranch site) and adopting an ordinance prezoning and rezoning the same site
7. Adopt resolution approving changes to the Federal Roadway Classification Map within the City of Pleasanton
8. Approve a consultant agreement with BKF Engineers in the amount of $297,666.04 to prepare projects plans, specifications, estimates and environmental documentation for the I-680/Bernal Interchange project, CIP No. 005068
Finance
9. Accept the Monthly Disbursements and Investment Report for July 2010
Fire
10. Adopt a resolution for obtaining federal, state and local criminal history information is authorized by the penal code and is a requirement of employment of EMT’s, and approving the cost of background checks
Parks and Community Services
11. Ratification of the updated naming opportunities/donor recognition plan for the firehouse arts center and contract with Jill Turman in the amount of $28,400 to fabricate the donor recognition wall and name plates
MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
12. Acceptance of a donation from the Pleasanton Cultural Arts Foundation and presentation of the Firehouse Arts Center’s inaugural season

Notice
There is a 90-day limit for the filing of a challenge in the Superior Court to certain City administrative decisions and orders, which require a hearing by law, the receipt of evidence, and the exercise of discretion. The 90-day limit begins on the date the decision is final (Code of Civil Procedure § 1094.6). Further, if you challenge an action taken by the City Council in court, you may be limited, by California law, including but not limited to Government Code §65009, to raising only those issues you or someone else raised in the public hearing, or in written correspondence delivered to the City Council prior to or at the public hearing. The City Council may be requested to reconsider a decision if the request is made prior to the next City Council meeting, regardless of whether it is a regular or special meeting.
