Livermore Curb Side Residential Used Oil Collection Program

Waste Management has a residential used motor oil collection program. If you plan to change your vehicle's oil yourself, call Waste Management Customer Service Center at 447-1300. Waste Management will deliver two free containers for the used oil. The containers will be delivered to your home. Used motor oil will only be collected in the containers provided by Waste Management. Screw the lids on tight and place the containers at the curb along with the other carts on your regular collection day. Waste Management will not collect used oil filters. These can be dropped off for no charge at Fire Station #6, 4550 East Avenue.

Do not mix the used oil with gasoline, water, cooking oil, or other liquids. Store the oil safely away from children and pets. Never pour used oil down the storm drain, as it will eventually become part of a creek and could harm to wildlife. If you see oil or some other contaminant happening right now, please call 911. For reporting illegal dumping of materials into the storm drain or creek systems, contact the Water Resources Center at 960-8100. The Alameda Countywide Clean Water Program, provides information on the creeks and the watershed in Alameda County.
