Have you ever dreamed of writing a book and having it available in your local library for everyone to check out and enjoy? If you are a young
author or illustrator entering Grades 1-8 when school starts in the
Fall, the library invites you to write or draw a story over the summer
and enter your book in the Newcott Caldebery Award Program. A special
evening of recognition for all entrants is held in the Fall. Applications
with further details are available at the children's desk on the first
day of the Summer Reading Game each year.
