Stray and lost/found animals picked up by the Police Department are taken to the East County Animal Shelter. The Shelter is a joint venture between Alameda County and the cities of Dublin, Livermore and Pleasanton for the welfare and safety of stray and lost animals in our communities.
The Shelter is open to the public seven days a week from 11:30am to 5:30pm and closed on all County observed holidays. Besides housing and care of stray animals, the Shelter also provides adoption services for stray animals not claimed within six days.
