Captain Eric Finn started his career with the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office in 1988 and joined the Pleasanton Police Department in 1990. Over the last 21 years he has risen through the ranks being promoted to Sergeant, Lieutenant, and to Captain in 2007.
Eric has worked in all facets of the organization including Patrol, SWAT, DARE, Investigations, FTO, Patrol Sergeant, Traffic/Motor Sergeant, Watch Commander, and Professional Standards Lieutenant. Before serving as the Operations Commander he served as the Investigations and Support Services Division Captain.
Eric earned a Bachelor’s degree in Management from St. Mary’s College in 1997 and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from C.S.U. Hayward in 2001. He possesses a P.O.S.T. Management certificate and is a graduate of both the FBI National Academy Session #219 and the P.O.S.T. Command College where he received the Hank Koehn Leadership Award.
