The following is a list of programs offered by the Pleasanton Police Department's Traffic Unit:
Bicycle Safety School – A diversion program offered to young bicyclists who have been cited for a vehicle code violation.
Bicycle Rodeos - This is a method of promoting good habits and teaching the rules of the road to our youngest highway travelers. This program provides a fun environment to learn pedestrian rules of the road, how to ride a bike safely in traffic and the importance of proper helmet fitting

Every 15 Minutes – This is a powerful anti-drinking and driving program that focuses on the high school aged citizens of our community. Each year the program is brought to either Foothill High School or Amador Valley High School, with a rotational schedule in which each high school receives the program alternating years. Students from Village High School are invited to attend as well. This program is coordinated as a joint effort involving high school students and personnel from the Pleasanton Police Department.
Classroom Education - With the help of a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, we have a variety of presentations intended to get out traffic safety messages to high school students in the district.
If you would like further information on any of these programs, please contact CSO Bob Aina at (925) 931-5237 or by email at raina@ci.pleasanton.ca.us.
