The Parent Project®: The Pleasanton Police Department, in partnership with Pleasanton Unified School District Adult Education, is proud to present The Parent Project®.
The Parent Project® is an interactive class that teaches parents skills to work with their strong-willed or out of control adolescent children. The class teaches effective identification, prevention and intervention strategies for the most destructive of adolescent behaviors (poor school attendance and performance, alcohol and other drug use, gangs, runaways, and violent teens). The class answers difficult questions, teaches solutions and provides practical and emotional support for parents living with defiant children.
Classes are held twice a year at the Pleasanton Police Department both in the Fall and Spring. Classes meet on Tuesday evenings from 6:00pm - 9:00pm over a 10-11 week period and are held in partnership with Amador Valley Adult Education.
Questions regarding Parent Project can be directed to the YCSU Sergeant at (925) 931-5169 and additional information on The Parent Project® program can be found on the web at www.parentproject.com.
