Park Maintenance

Park Maintenance Division

Street Tree Program

Responsible for the pruning and trimming of over 25,000 trees in parks, on government building grounds, and on City streets.

Government Landscape Program

Maintains landscaping around 20 different government buildings.

Street Landscape Program

Maintains the various street landscape areas throughout the City. Operations include the pruning, edging, weed control and irrigation of over 75 acres of medians and right-of-way areas.

Parks Maintenance Program

Responsible for the care and maintenance of over 384 developed acres of parkland at 42 sites and 810 acres of open space parkland. Operations include the care of sports fields, tennis courts, picnic and play areas.

Trails

Responsible for maintenance of 24 miles of open space and urban trails. Operations include erosion control, cleaning, signage and litter abatement.
