Green Waste

The Green Waste Recycling Program was implemented in 1996. Using specially designated 64-gallon containers, the program provides residents with weekly curbside recycling of yard and food waste. The Green Waste Recycling Program accepts all types of green waste including weed clippings, shrubs and tree prunings, leaves, plants, flowers and food scraps.

Similar to the City's commingled recycling program, the green waste is picked up and delivered to the transfer station, where it is processed and turned into compost.
