In addition to the City and PGS establishing convenient recycling programs for residents and businesses, check out Pleasanton's Recycling Buyback Center.
Located at: 3110 Busch Road, open 7-days a week from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Admission to the recycling center is free. If you would like more information about the buyback center, please contact the PGS at 846-2042.
By transporting recyclable materials yourself to the facility, cash is exchanged for the following;
- Aluminum Cans
- California Redemption Value (CRV) Glass
- #1 PET (polyethylene terephthalate)
- #2 HDPE (high-density polyethylene) Plastic
Acceptable recyclable materials for donation include:
- Mixed Paper (office paper, mail, magazines, phone books, and newspaper)
- Cardboard (no waxed cardboard)
- Bi-Metal (cans with steel and aluminum content)
- Brown Bags
- Cereal and other Paper Board Boxes
- Other Plastics like #3 PVC (vinyl)
- #4 LDPE (low density polyethylene)
- #5 PP (polypropylene)
- #6 PS (polystyrene)
- #7 (others)
Bring in 75 pounds of recyclable material in any 3-month period to the center and receive a credit for the recycling fee on your next PGS refuse bill. To receive this credit, the yellow recycling statement from the back of your PGS bill must be presented and stamped by the recycling attendant during each visit. One stamp is given for each 25 pounds of recyclable material presented at the Buyback Center.
