The Pleasanton Senior Center provides activities and services that meet the diverse needs of mature adults in the community and seeks to assist them in maintaining healthy and independent lives through programs that enrich the body, mind and spirit. Sign up for an exercise class, discover woodcarving, join the book club or get involved in arts and crafts. The Senior Center also offers day trips, movies, lectures, bocce, special events and a lengthy list of card games. Additionally, the Center provides informational materials on senior housing, transportation and safety programs, and offers access to medicare and legal counseling. Several groups, including Caregivers, Alzheimer's and Parkinson's support groups, meet at the Center on a monthly basis. The Pleasanton Paratransit office is also located on site.
Who Can Use the Services? You don’t have to wait until you’re 65 to use our services. Most activities are open to adults age 50 and above. Some services, such as Pleasanton Paratransit, Meals on Wheels, and the Senior Scholarship Program require a minimum age of 60.

Newcomer’s Reception: Every second Wednesday of the month, from
10:30 a.m. -12 noon, the Senior Center holds a Newcomer's Reception.

Spectrum Community Services Menu (pdf)
Meals: Spectrum Community Services provides meals through the Senior Nutrition and Activities Project (SNAP) at two locations, as well as home-delivered meals to qualifying seniors.
Lunch is offered at the Senior Center, Snappy Café, Monday through Friday, 12:00 noon, for seniors or disabled adults regardless of income. A donation of $3.25 is requested from persons age 60 and above, and $4.75 is requested from those under age 60. You must call (925) 931-5385 by 1:00 pm the day before to reserve a seat.
Dinner is served at Ridgeview Commons for all seniors living in Pleasanton. You'll enjoy a relaxed dining atmosphere and receive a delicious nutritious meal. Ridgeview Commons is located at 5200 Case Avenue. For additional information or reservations, call (925) 484-5131 by 1 p.m. the day before.
The Meals on Wheels Program delivers meals to qualified, homebound adults age 60 and above who are unable to shop or cook for themselves. Hot meals can be delivered Monday through Friday, and frozen meals can be available for weekends, if necessary. Special diets are available, and a $3.25 donation is requested. Call (925) 931-5385 from 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. for more information.
