Pleasanton Senior Center hosts several support groups that discuss a variety of important issues.

Caregiver’s Support Group:  Sponsored by the Senior Support Program of the Tri-Valley, this is open to all caregivers responsible for persons with Alzheimer’s Disease and dementia-related illnesses.  Meetings are in the Senior Center Sun Room on the second Monday of each month from 1:00-3:00 p.m. Contact the group facilitator at (925) 931-5389 for this and other kinds of caregiver support. 

Health and Independence:  Senior Support Program of the Tri-Valley provides a variety of services to assist senior residents of Pleasanton, Livermore, Dublin and Sunol (age 60 and above) in maintaining their health and independence.  Services include case management, in-home registry, in-home counseling, health screening, and friendly visits.  For more information, call (925) 931-5379.

Parkinson’s Support Group:  Sponsored by the Parkinson’s Network of Mt. Diablo and the City of Pleasanton, this group provides information and support to those with Parkinson’s Disease and their families or friends.  Meetings are held on the second Saturday of each month from 10:00 a.m.-12 noon.  Call (925) 931-5365 for more information.
