Senior Services

Pleasanton Senior Center offers a variety of services to support seniors.

 

Dental Consultations:  Have dental concerns?  Call (925) 225-9552 to schedule a free, off-site, 15-minute consultation with Dr. Arnold Paulos, DDS.

Estate Planning:  Twenty minutes appointments with an Estate Planning Attorney are offered on the 3rd Thursday, 7:00-8:00 pm and the 3rd Friday, 10:00-11:00 am.  Counselling on Trusts, Wills, and Durable Power of Attorney with health care directive.

Eye Glass Adjustments:  Offered on the 2nd Tuesday, 10:00 am - 2:00 pm in the Main Lobby, no charge.

Foot Care:  Senior Support Program of the Tri-Valley sponsors foot care visits at the Senior Center on the second Monday of each month from 9:30 am-2:30 pm.  Call (925) 931-5383 to schedule an appointment.  A $10 donation is suggested.

Health Screening:  The Senior Support Program of the Tri-Valley sponsors health screening visits at the Senior Center on the second Monday of each month from 9:30 am-1:00 pm.  Screening includes Diabetes tests, blood pressure checks, hearing screening, medication review, nutrition counseling, and health education.

Legal Assistance:  Need legal help with health care, housing, elder abuse, care-giving issues, or Durable Power of Attorney for health or finance?  A volunteer attorney is available by appointment on the second Monday of every month, between 10:00 and 11:30 am.  Call (925) 931-5365 to schedule an appointment. Medicare and HMO Counseling/HICAP:  Get help with Medicare and HMO billing and claims, Medicare supplemental insurance, and long-term care insurance through the Health Insurance Counseling and Advocacy Program (HICAP).  Counselors are available by appointment on the first and third Thursdays of each month between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon.  Call (925) 931-5365 to schedule an appointment.

Notary Services:  Need documents notarized?  Free notary service is available on the third Wednesday of each month from 9:00 to 10:30 am.  Call (925) 931-5365 to schedule an appointment.

 

Reverse Mortgage/Home Equity Conversion Counseling:  ECHO provides free and impartial information on reverse mortgages, deferred rehabilitation home repair loans, property tax postponement and other forms of home equity conversion for senior homeowners.  A Echo representative is available by calling (510) 581-9380, ext. 19.

Senior Support Program of the Tri-Valley:  Do you know a senior who needs a friendly visit, an in-home counselor, a housekeeping or health aide, help in assessing needs or solving problems, information and referrals, health screening or caregiver support?  If so, contact the Senior Support Program at (925) 931-5379.
