A new traffic signal will be installed at the intersection of West Las Positas Boulevard and Muirwood Drive as part of the City’s Annual Traffic Signal Installation Capital Improvement Program.  This location is identified as a priority in the City’s Traffic Signal Prioritization Program and the City’s General Plan. The signal will reduce local impacts caused by traffic congestion during the morning commute and early afternoon from neighboring Foothill High School and Lydiksen Elementary School.  This project is funded through Measure B (1/2 cent sales tax) dollars.  Construction started in September 2011 and the signal was activated December 27, 2011.
