Design work has begun on three new traffic signals for the Stoneridge Drive extension as part of the Staples Ranch project. The three new signals will be located along the existing portion of Stoneridge Drive at Newton Way/Stone Pointe Way, Guzman Parkway and Trevor Parkway. Signalization of these intersections is required by the Staples Ranch EIR (along with other mitigations) prior to opening the Stoneridge Drive extension. Project design should be completed in early May 2012.  The project will be publicly advertised for bids early summer and construction should begin in October 2012. Once the signals are installed, they will remain inactive (dark) until the Stoneridge Drive extension is completed.
