Pedestrian and Bicycle Master Plan
|
The City of Pleasanton Pedestrian and Bicycle Master Plan was prepared using grant money provided by the Alameda County Transportation Improvement Authority (ACTIA) through the Measure B Bicycle & Pedestrian Countywide Discretionary Fund Grant Program.
The goal of the Pedestrian and Bicycle Master Plan is to make Pleasanton a city where walking and biking are a viable alternative to the automobile, for work, school, and recreational trips. The master plan identifies areas where improvement in the bicycle and pedestrian network are most needed and will provide the most benefit. The master plan identifies policies and programs that will provide encouragement and safety education for pedestrians and bicyclists.
The development of the master plan was overseen by the Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee.
