The Pleasanton Sewer and Storm Drain Divisions provide round the clock sewer and storm drain maintenance services for our community. Citizen requests and emergencies are handled as a top priority with efficiency, skill and respect. We are committed to meeting the ever increasing challenges of service demands, conserving our natural resources, preserving the environment and protecting the health of our citizens.
The Storm Drain System Division is located at the Operations Service Center, 3333 Busch Road and can be contacted at (925) 931-5535 during normal business hours Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Emergency service is available 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year by calling the Pleasanton Police Dispatcher at (925) 931-5100.
Summertime Storm System Cleaning – As preventive maintenance, the department undertakes an aggressive cleaning program every year. Annually, we check and clean all storm drain inlets located on public streets. Creeks, v-ditches and other waterways are also cleaned to permit adequate drainage during the rainy season. This cleaning program gives local high school or college students the opportunity to participate in job training programs with the City.
Winter Flooding – When winter flooding occurs, City crews are the first line of defense. Small streams, drain inlets and storm drainpipes are constantly monitored when a big storm hits.
Underpass Pump Stations – The Sewer Division operates and maintains three storm drain pump stations. These stations pump storm water from the low areas around underpasses and discharge that to the local storm drain channels.
