The Storm Drain Division is located at 3333 Busch Road in Pleasanton and can be reached at (925) 931-5500. Business hours are Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. excluding holidays.
The Storm Drain Division provides around-the-clock storm drain maintenance services for the community to protect the storm drainage system, the creeks, arroyos and other waterways from becoming polluted. Citizen requests and emergencies are handled as a top priority with efficiency, skill and respect. We are committed to meeting the ever increasing challenges of service demands, conserving our natural resources, preserving the environment and protecting the health of our citizens.
Summertime Storm System Cleaning – As preventive maintenance, the division undertakes an aggressive cleaning program every year. Annually, we check and clean all storm drain inlets located on public streets. Creeks, v-ditches and other waterways are also cleaned to permit adequate drainage during the rainy season. This cleaning program gives local high school or college students the opportunity to participate in job training programs with the City.
Winter Flooding – When winter flooding occurs, City crews are the first line of defense. Small streams, drain inlets, and storm drainpipes are constantly monitored during storm events.
