Summer Camps

The City of Pleasanton offers several summer day camp programs for youth in preschool – 10th grade.  Our programs strive to provide a fun and positive environment where all children are encouraged to participate and learn new skills.  The social development of campers is encouraged through interactive activities that emphasize teamwork and cooperation. Our programs are designed to ensure each camper is provided with a safe and enjoyable experience.

Gingerbread Preschool Camp (2 – 6 years of age)

Enter the Summer Zone at Gingerbread Preschool!  Each session presents a theme that will provide preschoolers with hands-on fun and experience in arts, crafts, games, songs, stories, science experiments and more.  Click here to see the Summer Zone Camps.  Contact Gingerbread Preschool at gingerbread@cityofpleasantonca.gov or

925-931-3430 for more information.

Summer Day Camp (entering grades 1st – 9th grades)

Come enjoy an exciting camp experience at the Amador Recreation Center.  Three camps are offered: Summer Seekers (1st-3rd grades), Summer Explorers (4th-6th grades), and P-Town Teens (7th-9th grades).  Campers will enjoy eight themed weeks of exploration, discovery, new friendships, and fun!  Campers will have lots of opportunities for arts and crafts, cooperative games, and sports.  Each week features swimming at the Aquatics Center and a special event or field trip to some of the Bay Area’s best attractions.  For more information, please contact Nicole Thomas at nthomas@cityofpleasantonca.gov or call 925-931-3474.

Ridge Runner Day Camp (entering grades 1st – 10th grades)

It’s time to gear up, pull on your boots and come join the adventure!  Ridge Runners is back with new trails, creatures and activities which will really test our courage.  Play sensory awareness games, explore forests, creeks and the history of the Bay Area through tracking, navigation, and wilderness exploration.   For more information, please contact Eric Nicholas enicholas@cityofpleasantonca.gov or call 925-931-3485.

Leader In Training Program (entering 9th – 12th grades)

Put your free time to use this summer and gain valuable knowledge and work experience in public service. The Leader in Training (LIT) program gives teens the opportunity to prepare for future employment through training, hands-on experience, and evaluation.  Students are provided with training in essential job skills, engage in meaningful volunteer work, and receive on the job experience with the City of Pleasanton.  For more information, please contact Nicole Thomas at nthomas@cityofpleasantonca.gov or call 925-931-3474.
